A Warrior-Corpsman (Combat-Medic), or similar, is a unique individual with a different set of ethics that sets him apart from other Military medical personnel. There are various types of Corpsman, but a Warrior-Corpsman is atypical. Their number one objective is to protect and render medical aid to those combatants serving along side them, regardless of their own wellbeing. When a platoon steps out on movement, from the point man to the platoon Sgt. everyone is in a heighten state of awareness. Pulling offense and preparing for the strike, but the Warrior Corpsman is mentally preparing for the fight of his life, which is saving yours. He doesn’t divert himself with the dangers that he’s walking into, but instead, his goal is to stay alive so he can care for his brother in arms. When the combat breaks loose, and injured begin to fall, the Warrior-Corpsman isn’t fretful of the bullets that may kill or injure him, but rather watching over his comrades, reassuring them in a time of distress and dedicating every ounce of his heart, mind, and soul to saving their lives. For most, being wounded or killed in combat is their biggest trepidation, and although the Warrior-Corpsman has the same concerns, their biggest fear is having a comrade die on their watch. It’s a loss that they will commit to memory for the rest of their life and one that will preoccupy their dreams and thoughts forever. Regardless, they need to push on, prepare for the next battle, and render the same faithful care to their other brothers-in-arms. The Warrior-Corpsman is a unique breed of Warrior. Prepared and trained to enter the fight, weapons firing with swift accuracy, situational awareness in full tilt, and carrying out the missions objectives expeditiously. Contributing to the mission goals while carrying the weight of providing life support. Two separate objectives working in tandem, periodically intermingling, and raising the bar of difficulty exponentially. Always at the ready, never willing to deviate from the path of loyalty, and as brave and honorable as they come.
